There is a horrible buzzing sound that does not go away unless you set at the bright setting or the low light setting anything in between makes a horrible buzzing soundWe tried to install this mirror and had to stop so my contractor could make some modifications. My only complaint is the plug, but pretty bad design flaw. The plug is your standard plus (Not one with a flattened plug), and the frame is not deep enough to cover the appx. inch that the plug sticks out.. so it sits uneven against the wall. Contractor is having to build a frame to bring the mirror out enough to accommodate the plug. Pretty disappointed as I wanted it flush with the wall. Still a decent mirror, light is nice and bright (cool light). Button on the mirror is cool. Could still be good if you can move back your outlet, otherwise you'll have to figure out a way to hide the plug.This was a bummer. The sum of all this is at the end of the day, bells and whistles aside; this is just a mirror. I was looking forward to this one as the bath I'm fixing up needed a mirror. The lighting was an added bonus.....or so I thought.Anyways. Onward.It's fairly easy to install. I only needed my drill and a level to get it installed. There's a gimmicky little magnifying mirror that attaches via a magnet you stick to the back of the mirror but I didn't bother putting on as it was basically the size of a softball and not much use.It's a product that is well intended, but poorly executed. The lighting is more or less just a decoration. The LED's don't generate enough light to make them useful for anything. With the bathroom lights on the question became: what's the point? On their own, they don't do the job they're advertised to do. They make no visible difference unless you turn off the lights. Then, they don't generate enough light to be useful.Yes, there's various settings for office, outdoors, and then I'm guessing dinner and coffee?? But they are hampered by the lack of useful lighting. The clock is....a clock. The de-fogging feature works well enough, but it's just not enough to make this something I could be comfortable recommending.EDIT: I should also point out that if left on for any amount of time, the anti-fog component heats the mirror up significantly. Why there's no auto shut down I have no idea.As you can see in the pictures, it also arrived marked up at the top. Wherever that occurred, who knows. But still. It doesn't help the case for this product.This mirror is everything that I've been looking for. It's so modern technology. It's touch control, anti fog function, digital clock and 4 modes of lighting. I really like the LED light feature around the mirror, it's bright enough for my vanity table. I like that I can dim the lights or make it brighter by pressing on the upside down light bulb. It's great to adjust the lighting based on the natural light outdoors. I also like that it comes with all the stuff that you need to mount it on the wall and it even comes with a small magnifying mirror that can stick on the LED mirror. There's also a memory function, which allows you to quickly switch back to the present lighting that you previously set and the digital clock is exactly the present time even when it's turned off. When you turn it back on; the clock time is the same as the present time. This product was nicely packaged. It was very well maintained and cared for by adding a lot of bubble wrap to protect the mirror during transportation. It came in great condition and delivery was fast. I have no complaints about this product. I highly recommend it, it makes my home so modern. I hope this review is helpfulFIRST IMPRESSION/CONTENTS:Product packaging was minimal, but effective. I expected significantly more packing to keep the mirror from breaking during shipping, but surprisingly enough, it consisted of a single air-inflated envelope sized perfectly to fit the mirror, along with a snugly fitting cardboard box. Kudos for minimal wastage.EXPERIENCE:Opening the box revealed 2 pages of instructions, the mirror (19 3/4" x 27 3/4"), two screws/wall anchors, a 11 3/4" mounting bar, a (4 3/4") circular "3X magnifying" mirror and covered magnet used to attach it to the main mirror.Installation was a snap and required only a Phillips screwdriver and a level. I placed the mount on top of the level and marked two holes. I then used the screwdriver to make two small pilot holes, in which I inserted plastic wall anchors, and then attached the mounting plate to the wall with two screws. At this point, I was pretty much done.Note: if there's a wall stud in the way, you may require a drill to make the necessary holes.All that was left to do was hang the mirror on the mounting bracket and plug it in.I did not use the (yellow) anchors as supplied as they were designed for thicker walls than what I have. I also didn't plug the the device into my washroom GFIC, instead I knocked a small hole in the wall directly behind the mirror. This allowed me to fish the 5' cord through and plug it into my laundry room which resulted in a neat and tidy looking job in the washroom (aside from the holes belonging to the mounting hardware from the previous mirror which need to be patched). Overall, installation took about 10 minutes from start to finish.The mirror looks great and has four built in lighting profiles, as well as a dimming function. Profiles allow one to mimic different lighting environments e.g. evening at a restaurant versus standard office lighting etc.. This allows one to apply makeup complimentary to the lighting at their destination. A different review stated the lighting was not bright enough/had little impact. Our experience is much different; We found them more than adequate (note picture of washroom lit up at night entirely by mirror). It's important to note that lighting used for applying makeup should (ideally) be the ONLY source of light in a room so that it can accurately create the appropriate environment. I should mention that the smaller 4 3/4" circular "3X magnifying" mirror (which attaches via a magnet) was a nice bonus (and not noted in ad). In addition to the four preset lighting profiles, there's a dimmer (upside down light bulb icon). Simply hold down on the button and the lighting will run through the spectrum it's capable of displaying. Release the button when you find what you like. Also of interest is that the time on the built-in 24 hour clock appears to be retained during brief power outages. Yes, the clock display is 24 instead of 12 hours. Not a deal breaker for me, but some may find it annoying. Another great feature of this mirror is that it has a built-in heater/defogger which helps keep the center of the mirror free from steam. It's important to understand that the defogger STAYS ON as long as the lighting is turned on, as such, the center of the mirror will get HOT! Possible concern should one forget to turn it off. I'd feel much more comfortable if the defogger had an auto shut-off after a set period of time. Also noteworthy is that this unit doesn't appear to be CSA certified, however, it does ship with a certificate that states the "cord" is UL certified (see pictures). While the mirror itself appears to be a well made product, I'm only comfortable awarding 3 stars due to lack of auto-off timer, and lack of certification documentation.PROS:+ Very light (Aluminum construction)+ Looks great.+ Snap to install (about 10 minutes).+ Long cord (~5')+ Doesn't require a lot of tools (a level and a screwdriver - possibly drill depending on wall).+ Built-in clock.+ Built-in defogger (helps prevent mirror from steaming up).+ Built-in lighting profiles+ Retains settings after short power outage.+ Mine came with 3X circular magnifying mirror (not mentioned in ad!).CONS:- Defogger does not have auto-off safety feature (mirror will heat/remain hot until lighting manually turned off).- Built-in clock has a 24 hour time display. E.g. 22:00 for 8PM- Instructions are generic/applicable to several models with different features and are poorly translated.- Lack of clearly marked certification (could find no CSA designation). Comes with documentation stating "cord" is UL rated, but outside of that, no mention about the unit as a whole (see picture).TL;DRZOLGINAH Rectangular Wall Mounted Mirror is a beautiful addition to any washroom and requires just minutes to install. It has a built-in defogger (helps prevent steam from forming on mirror), comes with a built-in digital clock, 4 lighting profiles and a temporary dimmer setting. Check to ensure it meets proper certification for your country.As always, I hope you found this review helpful in some small way.We just decided to move it from one bathroom to another. It was well protected in a box with heavy duty bubble wrap. The mirror plugs in to your closest electrical outlet. It comes complete with heavy duty wall anchor, screws, a hanger bar and a small round magnifying mirror.The controls are somewhat vague in the instruction manual but they are pretty easy to figure out anyway. There are several different light settings and the time shows on the clock is even when the power is off.This light throws really decent light, I often don’t even need to turn on the main light if I am just going to the bathroom at night.
