It isn't as bright as I had hoped. When I was remodeling my bathroom, I was trying to decide if these would be my primary (and only) lights in the bathroom. I'm glad I went with bright overhead lights because these do not throw out enough light to illuminate a room by themselves. I have two of these in my bathroom and they look very nice. I have it wired to to a switch so I can turn them off at the same time. Unfortunately, when you turn the switch back on, they don't turn on. Only the illuminated button on the mirror turns on so there is no way to turn the light itself on and off from a switch.I use these more as accent lighting and rely on the overhead light to provide enough light for the room.Best investment ever when we remodeled both bathrooms! We love the look with the light on or off. Just beautiful. Quality made and everyone who visits our home comment how amazing our bathroom are.It's a cool feature. Not sure of it's really all that functional. Guests always compliment. However, the on/off button is not aligned in the middle of the bottom of the mirror. I can't attest to installation because our contractor installed it for us. I wouldn't buy it again.Very easy to install if you have an outlet close. Very bright lights and very cool. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is I don’t love that the light switch is red when it’s off.This mirror is great. I was worried about the light it would put out not being sufficient but it is bright enough to be on alone and still illuminate the bathroom. The light is also softer than expected.Mirror is exactly what I wanted for my bathroom remodel and this vendor was so very customer focused.
